In an article in the January, '94 Issue of Self Magazine, contributed by Dr. Neal Barnard M.D., author of "Food For Life", he basically supports the concept of "negative calorie" foods.

ALL foods contain some calories, but it is believed by many (including some doctors) that some foods take up more caloric energy to digest then the calories that are in them resulting in what is called the "negative calorie effect". 

But there are also some experts who don't agree with the "negative calorie" theory and state that the foods promote weight loss because they are low in calories, starches and fats, etc.  Regardless of who is right, the foods are healthy, wholesome and full of nutrition!

How much weight can you expect to lose by eating a lot of Negative Calorie Foods?

1 green onion, chopped
1/2 cup water

Blend until smooth.  Pour in a wine glass, add a sprig of celery and enjoy!
